Ich bin nun auf den Technologie-Zug gesprungen und habe mir einen neuen
Rechner zugelegt:

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 2800+

Soweit-so-gut und mein Plan: das aktuelle Release aufspielen. Zuvor noch
die Netzwerkkarte und die WLAN-Card aus meinem alten Rechner ausbauen,
reinstecken und Spass haben ...

Irgendwann erkannte ich, dass meine Netzwerkkarte (die ja zuvor unter
OpenBSD 3.5 auf i386 gewerkelt hat) hier nicht tun wird und dass dies
nichts mit meinem Board zu tun hat.

Gluecklicherweise konnte ich aber die On-Board-NIC (sis0) in Betrieb
nehmen um somit erst einmal wieder in's Internet zu connecten.

Die WLAN-Card (Himmel sei Dank) liess sich problemlos installieren.

Naechste boese Ueberraschung war, dass ich nun meine Digi-Cam nicht mehr
unter OpenBSD via USB mounten kann und die Notloesung, die SD-Card in
den Kartenleser tun und diesen mounten, geht auch nicht! *megashit*

Der Witz dabei ist, dass ich die SD-Card mounten kann und auch danach
mit 'df' sehe wie gross die Partition ist und wieviel davon belegt sind
und ich kann auch nach /mnt wechseln und sehe ein Verzeichnis (welches
von der Digi-Cam angelegt wurde) ... aber wenn ich in dieses Verzeichnis
wechsle sind dort keine Daten!?

Merke: Nicht alle Hardware, welche bislang unter OpenBSD gewerkelt hat
wird auch unter dem amd64-Port tun.

Auch nach dem Saugen des Patchbranch und 'make build' (mein System
braucht dafuer nur noch ne knappe Stunde ;-) liessen sich diesbezueglich
keine Verbesserungen feststellen - bleibt noch die Moeglichkeit von
-current oder ein Snapshot (ich werde an dieser Stelle ggf. noch weiter
berichten).

Ansonsten habe ich, bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten (Mozilla-Firebird
schmiert schonmal ab und auf der OpenBSD-CD sind nicht soviele Packages
enthalten wie fuer den i386-Port), bislang keine Instabilitaeten oder
weiteren negativen Punkte gefunden.

Fazit: OpenBSD's amd64-Port funktioniert grundsaetzlich - mit Ausnahme von
ein paar 'Besonderheiten'.

PS.: Mit 3.6 funktioniert USB wieder tadellos.
